The Awards, which celebrate the best cosmetic products “free from” some of the allergens and other ingredients many consumers wish to or need to avoid, feature 15 categories, including a new category for Body Oils, incorporating moisturizing oils, massage oils and bath oils.
The Awards pride themselves on allegedly being “the most fair and rigorous of the cosmetics awards.”
“There is no voting, which unfairly favours brands with large social media following and marketing budgets,” said Alex Gazzola, awards administrator and co-director. “To decide the Shortlist, all entries are first put through their paces by four testers for one month. Then, their feedback is combined with that of panels of independent expert judges, who sit for a week to debate and decide on final medallists and winners.”
Brands sold and distributed in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe are eligible to participate. The Awards close to entries on 22nd March. The Shortlist is revealed in May, and the winners are announced online in June.
