COVID-19, better known as coronavirus, is making show organizers sick. Exhibition companies are scrambling to reschedule events as the virus, and the fear that goes with it, spreads around the world. The most recent event to fall victim to COVID-19 is In-Cosmetics Global, which was scheduled for March 31-April 2 in Barcelona. Reed Exhibitions rescheduled the event for June 30-July 2.
Last month, Luxe Pack Shanghai and Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna were postponed. In February, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions postponed PCHi, which was to be held February 26-28 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The new dates are June 2-4.
Luxe Pack Shanghai organizers have re-scheduled the show for July 7-8 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. It was to be held April 8-9 in Shanghai.
Meanwhile, BolognaFiere Cosmoprof SpA, organizer of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, announced that the 2020 edition will be postponed to June 11-15, 2020. It was to be held March 12-16.
As the coronavirus story develops, all exhibition organizers urge participants to regularly check events websites for announcements and updates.
