Differin has rolled out the Clear90 app during its third annual Retinoid Education Week, which kicked off on Sunday March 1. The app provides a new way to help those with acne stay on track with treatment, according to the Galderma-owned brand, which has expanded its presence in the acne care market.
Together with retail partner Walgreens, Differin will celebrate Retinoid Education Week and the launch of the Clear90 app through educational content, in-store touchpoints, and sales promotions.
The app, which encourages users to snap a selfie every day and at the end of 90 days, looks back at a unique time-lapse of their journey to clear skin. It sends daily reminders, tips, and product discounts throughout the journey as additional motivation to stay on track.
"As a leader in treating adult acne, we are committed to continually innovating and bringing new, clinically-proven products and technologies to the marketplace that can help consumers treat the full lifecycle of acne," said June Risser, vice president and general manager, consumer business at Galderma. "In addition to bringing efficacious products to consumers, we're continuing to innovate by bringing easy-to-use technologies that will help millions of people with acne achieve healthy looking skin."
"Acne is one of the most common and frustrating skin conditions my patients deal with, and although there is a lot of information out there, there continues to be misconceptions and a lack of understanding about how to effectively treat the condition," said Board-Certified Dermatologist at Union Square Laser Dermatology Dr. Claire Chang, who is a Differin consulting dermatologist. "Retinoids have been trusted to treat acne by dermatologists like myself for decades, but we need to continue educating consumers on how to use them correctly and consistently as part of their overall skin care routine. Retinoid Education Week provides a great opportunity to do just that. With the launch of the Clear90 app, patients will be better equipped to get – and keep – clear skin."
