The Congress may have been canceled due to COVID-19, but the International Federations of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) is producing webinars on a wide range of topics.
On July 22, Maite San Miguel López will discuss adapting to the new world scenario. It will be IFSCC's first webinar in Spanish. Noting that the world has changed dramatically due to coronavirus, López will comment on the new reality of the cosmetic industry, consumer demand and more. Some topics to be covered include: milestones during the pandemic, flexibility in the cosmetic industry, cosmetic products to use in online interviews, type of products that will be the most required post pandemic and direct-to-consumer strategy.
On August 19, Dr. Satoshi Yamaki of Shiseido Americas Corp. will share advances in water-resistant sunscreens. Yamaki's topics will include: the importance of coating film uniformity, existing water-resistant technology, interactions between coating films and water/perspiration, and new water-resistant technology which produces a uniform film upon exposure to water.
