Sytenol A Bakuchiol has been selected as the “2020 Effective Ingredients Winner” by Ringier Trade Media, China and Happi China as part of the 2020 Ringier Technology Innovation Awards for the Personal Care Industry.
According to the company, Sytenol A Bakuchiol is an all-natural, well-defined compound with >99% purity. It is stable, requires no dark room for formulation and can be used topically during the day.
The Ringier Technology Innovation Awards are awarded to select few companies in recognition of their significant contributions to innovation and advancement in China. This award, received by Sytheon Ltd.’s exclusive distributor Shanghai Your Taste Co., China, is given annually for the most innovative ingredient in the personal care industry in China. Further distinguishing the significance of this award is the fact that Sytenol A Bakuchiol has only recently been formally approved for use in China beginning January 1, 2021.
According to Sytheon, while many ingredients in the market claim to be an alternative to Retinol, only Sytenol A Bakuchiol has the scientific data (genomic, proteomic, in-vitro & cell-based assays) and clinical studies to demonstrate its ability to match and in certain respects outperform the performance of Retinol. For example, a recent study published in the British J Dermatology (180:289-296, 2019; 180:253-254, 2019) has shown Sytenol A Bakuchiol as being capable of matching the established benefits of retinol. Specifically, in that study, esteemed UC-Davis dermatologists concluded that Bakuchiol is comparable to retinol in its ability to improve photoaging and is better tolerated than retinol.
