It's been a wild year, but the global pandemic hasn't stopped the New York Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists from continuing its mission of education and information exchange within cosmetic chemistry.
Chair-Elect Susanna Fernandes noted that the NYSCC Chapter has shown its incredible strength and agility by coming together to reimagine and reinvent its programs and member offerings.
"When lock-down began, we got started with the launch of the 'At Home Live' Webinar Series, an initiative to bring much-needed hand sanitizers to the NY/NJ/Metro hospital and care centers, 'Survival Kits' for members and those in need in select communities - and a full virtual 'Week of Beauty' anchored by Suppliers' Day," observed Fernandes.
To continue its mission in 2021, NYSCC is seeking talented, dedicated professionals for its executive board.
"As we prepare for elections, we ask that you consider participating on the NYSCC Board to assist us in fostering the mission of education and information exchange within cosmetic chemistry. If not, perhaps you know a colleague or fellow industry executive who you believe can contribute to our mission," said Fernandes.
To nominate someone, email the candidate's name, title, current company/affiliation, e-mail and mobile number to Fernandes at chair-elect@nyscc.org
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: OCTOBER 2, 2020 • VOTING BEGINS OCTOBER 12, 2020.
