Venerable beauty brand Nudestix, best known for giving that “no makeup” fresh-faced look, is branching out into the skin cake market with a new collection called Nudeskin. Products go live on Nudestix.com on Saturday, October 10.
The indie beauty line was created in collaboration with Los Angeles-based, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Jason Emer. All Nudeskin products are vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and powered by high-performance botanical extracts without sulfates, synthetic fragrance, or parabens. The made-in-Korea, dermatologist collaborated formulations, are for all skin types, is gender-neutral, and designed for minimum effort and maximum impact to the skin. Nudeskin’s primary packaging is also recyclable, minimalist, modern, and features a 100% bio-degradable box printed with soy ink, that has eliminated the excess packaging where possible.
Company cofounders Jenny and Taylor Frankel, along with Dr. Emer, revealed the collection during a virtual event with beauty editors. The trio unveiled the first five products in the collection before the official launch date to special guests on a Zoom call.
Jenny Frankel, president of Nudestix, is a chemical engineer with over two decades of experience developing beauty products. In her 20 years working in the cosmetics industry, shehas worked as a product developer for MAC Cosmetics — and co-founded the successful makeup brand Cover FX before going on to create Nudestix with daughters Taylor and Ally.
Meanwhile, the Nudeskin collection consists of skin care that Cleanses, Exfoliates, Tones & Moisturizes. Products span from a makeup melt with fruit oils such as orange, apple and rose hip to a toner that gives a deep cleanse with brightening ingredients like 3% glycolic acid and citric acids.
“We wanted to share our trade secrets to get better skin daily,” said Jenny Frankel in the virtual event.
Dr. Emer added, “Nudeskin makeup is a ritual. We wanted to extend this treatment to skin care with quality ingredients that actually improve skin with daily usage.”
