US Patent No. 10,821,070 B2; Tess Griffiths, Los Angeles, and Barbara Villegas, West Hollywood, CA, have patented a method for reconstituting broken cosmetic material. It entails the following steps:
• Gathering and sweeping broken fragments of the broken cosmetic material into a pan that includes the non-fragmented cosmetic material;
• Breaking up the broken fragments of the broken cosmetic material within the pan into smaller fragments, wherein the smaller fragments and the non-fragmented cosmetic material are both dry and both residing within the pan;
• Pressing a substantially flat surface downward onto the smaller broken fragments to pack the smaller broken fragments within the pan;
• Dispensing a foam composition onto an upper surface of the smaller broken fragments that were pressed and packed, with some of the smaller broken fragments dissolving;
• Leaving the material to air dry for a predetermined amount of time, wherein substantially all of the volatile liquid evaporates; and
• Pressing the flat surface onto all of materials within the pan, that are now dry, resulting in the broken fragments being reconstituted into the non-fragmented material such that there are substantially none of the smaller broken fragments remaining.
The foam composition comprises, Hamamelis virginiana, a volatile liquid and a foaming agent.
