The founder and president of International Cosmetics Science Centre, Prof. Dr. Vijai K. S. Shukla, has won the A. R. Baldwin Service Award. The honor is presented by the American Oil Chemist’s Society (AOCS) Governing Board and sponsored by Cargill, Inc. It is given for the distinguished service to AOCS.
Dr. Shukla is a leading professor in lipidology and a central figure in the study of essential fatty acids. He founded International Food Science Centre in 1990 and today he is the president of IFSC, ICSC and Clean and Green Family.
It is not the first time Shukla has won an award from AOCS; in 1996 he was presented with the Herbert J. Dutton Award, in 2002 he recieved the Stephen S. Chang Award, and in 2005 he won the AOCS Fellows Award.
“This award means a lot to me and it encourages me to work even harder for the society,” he said. “This award is important because it signifies the great society of AOCS, which assembles the world community in one platform and specifically its very dedicated employees who form the backbone of the AOCS organization”.
The A. R. Baldwin Service Award will be presented at the 2021 AOCS Annual Meeting and Expo, which is due to take place in May.
