For years, the L’Occitane Foundation has been supporting the women of Burkina Faso, where L’Occitane gets its shea butter from, by fostering women’s leadership to promote their emancipation, with a focus on four pillars – literacy, microcredit, entrepreneurship and education for women. Since the program came to fruition, the L’Occitane Foundation has helped more than 30,000 women receive support in developing and strengthening their activity.
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, the Top 30-ranking L’Occitane has launched the Solidarity Hand Cream featuring an intense, yet subtle scent of Hibiscus inspired by the colorful African atmosphere of the Burkinabe women. 100% of the profits from the hand cream will be donated to finance NGO projects to promote women’s leadership in Burkina Faso.
In addition, L’Occitane is partnering with Black Women’s Health Imperative as part of the brand’s dedicated commitment to women’s empowerment. As part of this partnership, L’Occitane will make a donation in support of the organization & women’s health programs.
The L’Occitane Solidarity Hand Cream is available at L’Occitane boutiques nationwide and online.
