Through a virtual runway rather than in water, American Cleaning Institute (ACI) raised $23,000 to support the Clean the World Foundation through its Virtual Summit Duck Fashion Show.
This annual charity event is typically held in person at the association's annual convention with rubber ducks racing to a finish line in a pool. But ACI shifted gears to host the annual event online.
ACI and Shell Chemical LP co-sponsor the annual Duck Race at the ACI Industry Convention. This year, 16 companies purchased a corporate duck to compete in the fashion show, said ACI.
"ACI, our member companies and Shell Chemical LP place a high priority on programs and partnerships that help provide better living for individuals, families and communities," said Melissa Hockstad, ACI president and CEO. “That’s why we are proud to highlight and support the mission and efforts of Clean the World, especially while we are still battling the coronavirus pandemic.”
Clean the World, a leader in global health which recycles discarded hygiene products and distributes them to communities in distress around the world, was the virtual summit’s charity of choice.
The winner of the fashion show was “Stan E. Tizer, M.D.” submitted by Arylessence.
