Clarins North America will have a new president this Fall. Lionel Uzan has been named president of Clarins North America and general manager of Clarins USA. He will succeed Danyelle Boilard-Paul, the executive vice president and general manager of Clarins USA who is leaving the company August 31 to pursue new opportunities in her native Canada and the US, according to the company.
Currently the general manager of Clarins Canda, Uzan will report to Christophe de Pous, president of Clarins’ new international markets division.
Boilard-Paul is credited with expanding Clarins digital efforts and her departure comes at a time of change for Clarins. In January, Virginie Courtin-Clarins, granddaughter of founder Jacques Courtin-Clarins, was named deputy CEO and head of corporate social responsibility at the French beauty-maker. The company hopes to become a certified B Corporation within the next three years; goals include reducing its carbon footprint 30% and become plastic neutral, using only recyclable packaging, by 2025.
