John Paul Gaultier will launch Scandal, a new men's fragrance, this fall. It is the first scent from the fashion house since Puig acquired the label in 2016.
Scandal, described as a woody oriental scent, was created by Givaudan perfumers Quentin Bisch, Christophe Raynaud and Nathalie Cetto. It has top notes of sage and mandarin fruit, tonka bean at its heart, and base notes of vetiver and freshly cut wood. Retail prices range from 76 euros ($90.44 at current exchange rates) for the 50ml eau de toilette to 120 euros ($142.80) for the 150ml version. A 200ml refill costs 125 euros ($149).
Scandal launches in France on Monday. It will roll out to Germany and the UK in August with other countries to follow in the fall. France, followed by Germany and the UK in August, with a broader rollout in the fall. No date was announced for a US launch.
