As reported in Happi, Coty acquired a majority stake in Kylie Cosmetics in 2019.
According to Stanleick, it's all about giving consumers the ability to access Kylie Cosmetics through every channel. Going forward, the brand is partnering with Ulta Beauty and Nordstrom in the US, Douglas in Europe, Boots, Harrods and Selfridges in the UK, Nocibé in France, Gold Apple in Russia and Mecca in Australia.
Repositioning beauty brands as “clean” has worked for Stanleick in the past. Prior to his time working on Jenner’s businesses, he helped turn around CoverGirl, one of the 41 troubled mass-market beauty brands Coty bought from P&G in 2016.
