For the month of September, the Color Street Foundation, the charitable arm of trendy nail brand Color Street, is pledging $150,000 to drive awareness, research, support, and services for those diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Sales from its Brave and Bold Limited Edition, a shimmery teal nail strip, will aid the important work of Color Street’s charitable partners: Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Ovarian cancer affects 1 in 78 women across their lifetime and is the second most common type of gynecologic cancer in the United States. Educating women about the early warning signs of ovarian cancer can improve the odds of early diagnosis and successful treatment.
What started out a simple idea to use Color Street nail strips to wear support for causes on fingertips has grown to help stylists and customers raise awareness for such causes and the Foundation’s charitable partners.
Over the past three years, the Color Street Foundation has donated $3.5 million to 46 charity partners through 21 awareness campaigns. Since its inception in 2018, The Color Street Foundation has benefitted a variety of charitable causes at the national and local level. During the pinnacle of the Covid-19 pandemic last year, the foundation sourced, produced and donated 60,000 KN95 masks to frontline organizations and hospitals. The Foundation also recently committed $200,000 to support mental health awareness and frontline wellness in support of the mental health impact of the pandemic on our communities and frontline professionals.
