Cheekbone Beauty, an indigenous-owned beauty brand based in St. Catharines, Ontario, launches today on Sephora.ca. A curated assortment of its Sustain collection—including a new mascara and new blush/bronzer that are exclusive to Sephora—will available online through the retailer’s Canadian website.
"We are thrilled to partner with Sephora Canada," said Jennifer Harper, founder and CEO, Cheekbone Beauty. "Joining their incredible platform allows us to further amplify our mission to create spaces of representation within the beauty industry for Indigenous youth."
Harper founded the brand in 2016. It has become known for creating high quality, cruelty-free beauty products such as liquid lipsticks and complexion products including contour and highlight palettes.
"We are proud to launch Cheekbone Beauty on Sephora.ca and excited to be making its unique range of beauty products available to our clients" Jane Nugent, Sephora Canada's SVP of merchandising, said in a statement. "Ensuring representation within our brand offering that is reflective of Canada's rich diversity is also central to our mission of creating an inclusive beauty experience and sense of belonging for everyone. We know our clients will be thrilled to discover all that Cheekbone Beauty has to offer".
The new Sustain mascara is a clean and vegan formulation. The new talc-free blush and bronzer is available in three shades (Fair, Medium and Deep). Both are exclusive to Sephora Canada.
Sephora has been working to expand its brands to incorporate more beauty and haircare offerings for and created by POC.
