Cleanlogic, the inclusive and accessible conscious beauty brand that has pioneered the use of functional braille on all of its product packaging for the past 20 years, will spend the month of October, Blindness Awareness Month, benefiting the blind community.
All month long, the company will donate 15% of sales to the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind’s Children’s Tech Education Fund and Cleanlogic’s own Inspiration Foundation.
The company is also committed to addressing the staggering unemployment statistics of blind individuals -- 70% -- by making additional hires of blind and low vision associates and executives. This year’s Cleanlogic Holiday 2021 gift sets will be packed and assembled by the blind and low vision team members.
The nonprofit was founded in 2006 by CEO and founder Isaac Shapiro in honor of his mother, who lost her sight as a child. Cleanlogic is reportedly the first in the industry to feature functional braille on all product packaging to assist the more than 25 million people in the U.S. who are blind or have low vision, live more independently.
Since its founding, the company’s mission is to include all, and is dedicated to raising awareness and developing programs to ensure this community is not overlooked. With the belief that successful job placement and retention is dependent upon strong technology skills, and that independent living skills, in turn, are augmented by technology, Cleanlogic’s Inspiration Foundation provides adaptive technology for adults with vision loss and awards grants to other nonprofit organizations to further raise awareness and support the cause.
