Highlander Partners has acquired a majority stake in clean beauty brand RMS, founded by Rose-Marie Swift. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to industry estimates, RMS has annual sales of about $30 million.
The brand was founded in 2009 by Makeup Artist Rose-Marie Swift. It is sold in Sephora North America, Bluemercury, QVC, Credo, Net-a-porter, Nordstrom and Violet Grey. Under terms of the deal, David Olsen is the new CEO at RMS. A managing director at Highlander, he was CEO of Cos Bar. During his time as global vice president at Net-a-porter, he launched RMS on the platform.
The RMS lineup includes items like Beauty Oil ($78), Eye Polish ($28), Lip2Cheek ($36) and Un-Cover Up ($36).
