US Patent No. 11,179,301 B2 (Edward Dewey Smith); Procter & Gamble has patented a skin cleansing composition. It consists of:
a. from about 26% to about 40%, by weight of the composition, of surfactant comprising a zwitterionic co-surfactant and a branched anionic surfactant;
b. from 20% to about 40%, by weight of the composition, of glycerin;
c. greater than 15% to about 20%, by weight of the composition, of perfume;
d. water;
e. optionally a preservative, thickener, hydrophobic oil, additive, soap, pH modifier, additional hydric solvent, an additional surfactant, solvent, dye, acid, sodium chloride, or a combination thereof.
The composition predominantly comprises a lamellar structures comprising at least a portion of the branched anionic surfactant. The composition forms a microemulsion comprising at least a portion of the perfume upon aqueous dilution.
