Delf Ltd., a United Kingdom-based manufacturer and supplier of animal hygiene and industrial cleaning products, has been acquired by Neogen Corporation, a Lansing, MI-based company that works in food and animal safety.
Neogen Corporation diagnostic test kits detect foodborne bacteria, natural toxins, food allergens, drug residues, plant diseases, and sanitation concerns.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"Joining Neogen is an exciting opportunity for us," said Chris Jones, Delf managing director. “Over the years, we have put a lot of effort into our range of specialty chemicals and dairy hygiene products, and we are excited to see how those offerings continue to grow with the expertise and backing of the Neogen team."
Since Delf's founding nearly a century ago, the company has grown from a key soap manufacturer in Liverpool to offer a wide range of animal hygiene and specialty chemical products. The company select member of the Iodine Registration Group allowing it to supply Article 95 PVP-iodine and iodine-based biocidal products to the UK and European Union animal hygiene markets.
According to Dr. Jason Lilly, Neogen’s vice president of international business, Delf's products synergistically complement its quat-chem disinfectant and cleaner offerings.
