Natura & Co, the owner of iconic beauty brands Avon, Natura, The Body Shop and Aesop, was recognized as one of the most ethical companies in the world in 2022 by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in setting standards for ethical business practices.
Natura has had a consistent presence on the list, having been featured a dozen times in the Health & Beauty category. In 2021, Avon also was also recognized by Ethisphere.
"Against all the uncertainty of the last two years, we’ve continued a relentless focus on making sure that the way we do business isn’t just good for us, it takes care of the planet and the communities we touch too. The choices we make each day across our Group and our family of iconic brands are guided by our Commitment to Life sustainability vision", said Keyvan Macedo, sustainability director at Natura & Co. "It is an absolute honor for Natura &Co to be recognized with this award, adding to Natura’s strong track record of over a decade. But this doesn’t make us complacent—the challenges in the world loom large and we will keep pushing for more progress in the year ahead."
The methodology is based on the Ethisphere Quotient, an assessment that includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance standards, governance, diversity and initiatives to support the value chain. It covers 136 companies from 22 countries and 45 industrial sectors. The process serves as a framework for capturing and ranking top best practices from organizations across industries and across the globe.
“Today, business leaders face their greatest mandate yet to be ethical, accountable, and trusted to drive positive change,” said Ethisphere CEO, Timothy Erblich. “We continue to be inspired by the World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees and their dedication to integrity, sustainability, governance, and community. Congratulations to Natura &Co for receiving this recognition.”
