Renee Nelson has been promoted to the position of I&D principal scientist at Formulated Solutions.
With three decades in the OTC, cosmetic, personal skin care and pharmaceutical industries, Nelson has blended a balance of science and creativity to excel in the research, development and innovation arena.
Upon receiving her bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Stony in New York, Nelson spent 20 years with the Estee Lauder Companies, starting as a laboratory technician and working her way up to a group leader, where she was able to mentor chemists who reported to her. Helping others develop their talents is one of her true passions.
Nelson said that her departure from Estee Lauder to join Formulated Solutions has been the most rewarding experience of her career, introducing her to new disciplines and challenges. A foray into the world of aerosols has revealed new development possibilities that have been her most recent areas of focus and innovation.
Nelson’s quest for new ideas and technologies has resulted in 10 patents achieved with her Formulated Solutions family, and several additional patent applications pending. As I&D principal scientist she will leverage her knowledge and creativity to mentor and train our growing I&D team while concurrently spearheading an array of innovative formulation programs.
