Driven by demand for sustainable, ethical beauty, Davines Group expects 2023 sales to grow 10% to 250-260 million euros (about $266-277 million at current exchange rates).
The Parma, Italy-based company is best known for its Davines professional haircare line and Comfort Zone skincare. It has a presence in more than 90 countries, and operations in London; New York; Paris; Mexico City; Hong Kong and Deventer, Netherlands. Although the US and Europe remain its biggest markets, Davines Group posted double-digit gains in every country in 2022, led by a 20% sales increase in Asia and a 30% increase in Latin America. Haircare sales rose 20% and skincare sales increased 17%, according to Davines.
But no matter the product category, the focus is on sustainability. Last year, Davines expanded its headquarters to include an organic farm, research center and education wing to study how farming practices can influence the personal care product supply chain. This year, Davines joined 30 like-minded companies to establish B Corp Beauty, a group dedicated to improve sustainability standards.
