Happy Dance, the clean CBD skincare brand co-founded with actress Kristen Bell, is shutting down after two years on the market.
The brand made the announcement on Instagram on January 23 that its products are being discontinued on its website as of January 27, 2023 via a post that read the following:
“Insert song, dramatic drawn-out sigh as we enter the last week that Happy Dance products will be available on our website. There is some good news though, you can still find our Best Sellers at select Ulta Beauty locations while supplies lasts.”
Launched in 2020, the Happy Dance collection features a body butter, a coconut melt and a bath bomb, all formulated with clean ingredients and high-quality CBD from full-spectrum hemp extract. The multi-purpose products are infused with blends of plant-based oils and butters.
One percent of Happy Dance profits benefited A New Way of Life Reentry Project, a Black-owned, LA-based organization founded by Ms. Susan Burton, a seasoned activist, 2010 CNN Hero, 2012 Purpose Prize winner and author of Becoming Ms. Burton. A New Way of Life Reentry Project provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison.
Happy Dance products can be purchased for a limited time at CVS, TJMaxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods.
