Procedure | |
Combine phase A in the main vessel, start mixing and heat to 75°C. Slowly add phase B (to prevent clumping). When the batch is crystal clear and completely free of undissolved phase B, add phase C in order. When again completely clear, correct for any water loss and commence very slow cooling (to prevent product solidification) with strong mixing without aeration. Stop cooling at least 5°C above solidification point and fill product into containers.

Dimethyl capramide inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, including C. xerosis and Micrococcus species, relevant to the control of underarm odor. It improves deodorant stick clarity and leaves skin smelling fresh and clean. Optimum clarity requires filling product into containers while well above its solidification temperature so the product does not start to set while being poured.
