The Product Manager assists in the product management activities for the global personal care market including the commercialization strategy and tactics of new products. It is also a collaborative role in which the Product Manager will work closely with sales, technology, supply chain, regulatory and operations as well as with peers across regions in supporting the key strategic growth platforms of Elementis.
A candidate for a Product Manager position must possess a minimum of five to ten years of relevant product/asset management experience within the specialty chemical industry for products/ingredients ideally in the personal care or related market.

Job Description:
The Product Manager assists in the product management activities for the global personal care market including the commercialization strategy and tactics of new products. It is also a collaborative role in which the Product Manager will work closely with sales, technology, supply chain, regulatory and operations as well as with peers across regions in supporting the key strategic growth platforms of Elementis.
- Portfolio Management: Under the guidance of the global marketing director, the product manager performs key analyses of the current portfolio with an eye for global asset utilization (and its impact on fixed cost), regulatory implications, and inventory optimization. Inventory optimization includes stocking location strategy, MTO/MTS SKU classification and levels, customer service levels, and other such parameters that impact the working capital. Assist in preparing for the SIOP meetings and other portfolio management objectives.
- Profitability Analysis and Guidelines: Provide analytical support, trends and conclusions to assist with overall profitability analysis. Collaborations are likely to be with purchasing to analyze the impact of key raw materials and other trends that impact our costs, with manufacturing/technology for process/cost improvement assessments/projects, and the like interdepartmental assessments. Provides written analysis with supporting data to support conclusions.
- New Product Commercialization Strategy: Assist with commercialization tactics. Maintain the Product Technical Sheets with an avid eye for Elementis branding standards. Attend all of the innovation pipeline meetings.Global Key Account Management: Assists marketing team with global key account analysis as requested. Or leads the marketing portion of the global key account under the guidance and supervision of a more senior marketing team member.

- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree is required in a technical/science field; advanced degree or MBA is desirable.
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain or product management in cosmetic chemicals or related market.
- Must have been involved with multi-plant and/or multi--region product/asset portfolio management including finished good inventory optimization and commercialization activities.
- Analytical capability to analyze and summarize large quantities of product/supply chain data, followed. Depending on the level, a Product manager may also make conclusions and recommendations.
- Candidates must be able to effectively cultivate and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. The candidate must be able comfortable with incomplete and ambiguous data.
- Candidates should be entrepreneurial in nature and collaborative in personality. A roll-up- your-sleeves work style would be effective; a results-oriented perspective is integral to the success of this candidate.
- A proven problem-solver, who anticipates and addresses relevant issues, is critical. International market experience would be viewed favorably.
- Possess excellent communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Fluent verbal and written English require to be able communicate with global customers and write clear and detailed reports.
