Job Description:
- Take a lead role with Contract Manufacturing and Private Label accounts.
- Responsible for understanding the customer's key objectives and strategies and implementing collaborative business plans that deliver long-term mutual growth.
- Customize, sell and implement corporate/local strategies and Category Leadership Programs
- Key points of contact are with the Category Buyer and Planner as well as Replenishment team for key Customers.
- Key internal interface is with the Director of Sales, Sales, Customer Planning Director, Customer Service Team, and Finance Team.
- Engage with customers at multiple levels and establish business relationships that enable strategic collaborative business planning initiatives
- Provide qualitative Customer information that is utilized for Customer Segmentation & annual growth planning process
- Coordinate customer cross-functional resources by providing consistent direction and support
- Own and lead development of strategic and tactical business planning activities with Customer that leads to desired growth plan both top and bottom line
- Leverage Category Leadership's/your own analytics, insights, reporting and recommendations to build/execute customer plans
- Coordinate with Customer Service resource on Supply Chain and Procurement opportunities
- Talent in turning insights into action to build our brands and the category
- Manage and own trade budgets maximizing business building activities profitably
- Leverage internal resources to strengthen Customer relationship through Top to Top Presentations, Category Leadership Platform, Category Reviews, Vendor Partnerships and Advisory Roles.
- Ability to prioritize work in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent judgment, follow-up, attention to detail, and personal accountability.
- Working knowledge of basic computer software and ability to communicate by email, telephone and in person.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Customer accounts by being the passionate and flexible first point of contact.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, including oral and written communication.
- Must work well under tight timelines and be able to manage hundreds of different skus across multiple categories.
- Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Change Management - communicates changes effectively; builds commitment and overcomes resistance.
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 3-5 years of Customer Management experience, experience with Retailers/Grocery Chains is preferred
- 3-5 years relevant CPG experience to include some combination of: Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, or Category Management
- Analytical skills and experience working with syndicated data i.e., Nielsen, IRI or Retail Link
