To meet the growing needs of the cosmetics industry, Coptis Lab (booth 1555) has added a packaging module to its software suite. The creation of a packaging module was the next step to complete the Coptis Lab software, precisely meeting the fundamental need of the cosmetic industry to manage simultaneously packaging data along with all data required in the development of a formula, such as raw materials, regulatory, tests data.
Main features of the packaging module:
• Centralized management of components’ information (composition, nature, origin, specifications, traces/impurities, prices and documentation...)
• Creation of Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Price simulations based on quantity and supplier
• Follow-up of tests on the finished product: stability, compatibility…
And soon when editing the product information file (PIF), the required packaging reports can be included automatically. The new model optimizes efficiency by:
• Improving information sharing and collaboration between packaging team and formulators;
• Securing access to data;
• Centralizing data to prevent regulatory compliance issues; and
• Saving time (of more than 30%).
The company also noted that the Coptis Labs' Users Club will meet May 12 (the day after Suppliers' Day) in Edison, NJ. All the new Coptis Lab integrated functionalities will be presented. There will also be an exchange of ideas of the proposed future development projects. The meetings will enable users to see how the software evolves to meet the needs of the Coptis Lab software customers’ requirements, according to the company.
