Sensient Cosmetic Technologies (stand J50) is rolling out several novel, natural ingredients during In-Cosmetics. Natpure Xtra are highly concentrated botanical extracts that are obtained using Sensient's patented PhytoClean process.The three new items include: NatPure Xtra Longevity, a green tea from Kenya which was shown to improve the skin barrier and reduce UV stress in vitro; NatPure Xtra Integrity, which is derived from a holly harvested in Ecuador which has been shown to improve the skin barrier and reduce inflammation, in vitro; and NatPure Xtra Vitality, which is derived from rosemary grown in Uganda. Invitro studies show NatPure Xtra Vitality improves the barrier and protects skin from urban dust and UV stress.
Botanical Avocado is a natural, hydrophoic surface treatment for a broad range of face makeup formulations with high pigment load, yet a soft and lightweight feel. This natural-derived product has very good hydrophobicity, is compatible with hot process and has good pressability in powders. Chemists are able to formulate high pigment loadings, yet keep emulsions fluid.
Finally, new Sensistyle Curl Relaxer relies on papaya and pineapple enzymes to gently break cystine bonds and relax hair. This neutral pH, multi-benefit natural hair relaxer technology is formaldehyde-free and adds nutrients and smooths hair. Compatible with other ingredients, Sensistyle makes it possible to create multi-benefit formulas that do more besides treating hair and reducing fading, according to Sensient.
