The California Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (CASCC) Suppliers' Day serves as one of the most important North American events, with more than 300 global cosmetics and personal care industry companies together looking to showcase their new innovative ingredients and solutions. This year, CASCC Suppliers' Day will be held October 2 and 3 at the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA.
Stand set-up is Tuesday, October 1. In addition, the SCC Continuing Education Program (CEP) will include two courses:
• "Molecular Biology for Cosmetic Chemists (NextGen)," instructed by Howard Epstein, PhD. Attendees will learn the basic principles of molecular biology and gene expression and their relevance for the cosmetic chemist.
• "The Science Behind Hair Claims (with TRI Princeton)," instructed by Trefor Evans, PhD. In this collaboration between the SCC and TRI Princeton, attendees will learn the attributes of hair together with testing and technical knowledge leading to the support of product claims.
On Wednesday, October 2, the free conference program includes:
• 9am: CBD and the Farm Bill
• Noon: Open Your Senses
• 1pm: The Power of Hemp
• 3:30pm: Claim Support Case Studies
On Thursday, October 3, the free conference program includes:
9am: Natural and Organic Standards. What it means for personal care and why consumers care.
• Noon: Cosmetic Industry, past & future, Dr. Howard Maibach MD

In addition the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) will hold a technical conference on Thursday, October 3, from 9am to 1pm.
The Suppliers' Day After Party on October 2 from 7pm to 1am will take place at the Plaza Terrace near the Convention Center.

• Thursday, October 3, 10am-3pm
