When it comes to the eyes, everyone is looking for longer lashes and fewer lines and wrinkles. Here are three recently awarded patents related to eye enhancement and treatment:
False Lash Dispenser
US Patent 10,029,843 B2; ELC Management LLC, Melville, NY has patented an apparatus (shown above) for dispensing false eyelashes comprising an opening for dispensing false eyelashes, a supply wheel, a dispensing tip, a take-up wheel, the supply wheel carrying a supply roll of transparent or translucent tape that comprises a plurality of false eyelashes. The false eyelashes are secured to the tape by a cosmetically acceptable adhesive and are configured such that distal ends of each eyelash is directed towards the dispensing tip. The take-up wheel receives spent tape after each false eyelash is dispensed.

US Patent 10,034,825 B2; Jan Marini Skin Research, San Jose, CA, has patented a topical cosmetic composition that is comprised of dimethylmethoxy chromanyl palmitate palmitoyl tripeptide-1; palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7; and a cosmetically acceptable vehicle.
Semi-Permanent Mascara
US Patent No. 10,034,829 B2; Noxell Corporation, Hunt Valley, MD, has been awarded a US patent for a semi-permanent mascara composition, which is an anhydrous dispersion that has low solubility to soap and water. The mascara is comprised of film former comprising tall oil glyceride and pentaerythrityl rosinate; colorant; wax; and a volatile carrier.
