Nothing says “all about me” more than a spa facial, but Biolements has a new professional collection designed to take that already bespoke experience up a notch. The Colorado Springs, CO-based company says its new Custom Blend System enables estheticians to zero in on a client’s biggest needs that day, all with a just few drops of concentrated formulations fueled by proven ingredients.
The Bioelements concentrates include Age Architect (which is designed to plump, tighten, and target the appearance of lines with quinoa seed extract and palmitoyl tripeptide-5); Inflammation Inhibitor (which “triple-targets” visible, invisible and sensory inflammation with bisabolol, black currant seed oil, sunflower seed oil, rosemary leaf extract and more); and Deeper Hydration (multi-level hydration to balance skin barrier with sodium hyaluronate and Anadenanthera Colubrina bark extract). In addition to these skin-health focus options, there are two aromatherapy concentrates.
Happi checked in with Callie Lushina, vice president of marketing, to find out more about this new collection that provides benefits to customers and spa owners, too.
HAPPI: Tell us about how these new products from Bioelements deliver a new and more customized experience for clients?
Lushina: Off the shelf, "cookie-cutter" services don't build loyal clientele. Today's clients expect highly personalized experiences. They want memorable interactions, and they want their needs met more effectively and efficiently. Bioelements Custom Blending makes personalization easy—and profitable. It's a one-of-a-kind system that increases client satisfaction, the likelihood of repeat visits and it differentiates an esthetician from the competition.
HAPPI: How do you empower the spa experts to properly assess and blend the custom products?
Lushina: Custom blending is the core of every Bioelements facial. So we've made it easier than ever to learn and incorporate into a spa. It all starts with SkinReading—our proprietary system that makes product and treatment choices easy, keeps the esthetician engaged and in-tune with a client, and delivers results without guesswork. Custom Blending is ingrained into SkinReading, featured in every facial, and designed to be blended into retail formulas as well—so the esthetician can personalize a service from the moment a client walks in, to the moment they're at-home applying their Custom Blended Bioelements moisturizer.
HAPPI: How did the R&D team develop these specific products—selecting raw materials, for example, and why these five products?
Lushina: Our primary goal was to launch a system that targets clients' biggest concerns: aging, hydration and inflammation, with just a few drops of a Custom Blend formula. Our team also wanted to ensure the system was easy to use, highly concentrated for immediate results, and with a low entrance point – for low cost-per-treatments. So we sought out new, clinically-proven ingredients, including firming quinoa seed in Age Architect, pro‐inflammatory cytokine-decreasing bisabolol in Inflammation Inhibitor, and multi-level hyaluronic acids in Deeper Hydration. Plus, our two new Aromatherapy Custom Blends (Bergamot and Modern Yin) are unique, essential oil blends sourced from around the globe, and exclusive to Bioelements - that greatly enhance the personal, experential and sensorial touch points throughout the service. We exceeded our goals— all at literally pennies per drop for the esthetician.
