XPAND2018 from HCPA Washington, DC on Vimeo.
As the top executives of our member companies make their travel plans for the HCPA Annual Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, HCPA is preparing for what will be the most collaborative, and most strategic, Annual Meeting in recent years.
The wide variety of speakers on this year’s program, from EPA leadership and political experts to major retailer executives and consumer trend specialists, reflects the fact that this industry remains very diverse in its economic scope and impact. HCPA continues to reinforce its commitment to being collaborative and transparent, by working closely and in good faith with key stakeholders to solve problems and find solutions throughout the entire supply chain.
Earlier this year, HCPA released a new strategic plan for the organization and at the Annual Meeting, each of the HCPA Product Divisions and Advisory Committees will be thinking strategically about their priorities, planning for 2019 and looking carefully at the resources and partners needed to achieve our collective goals. HCPA continues to work towards a responsible ingredient communication solution at the federal level. And, as the only trade association that aggressively and publicly supported the California Cleaning Product Right to Know Act of 2017, ultimately signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown, HCPA is operating from a position of good standing with key stakeholders who are active on ingredient communication. This position is invaluable as HCPA continues to strengthen relationships with major retailers, respected NGOs and elected officials as we prepare for the new Congress in 2019.
As HCPA continues to tackle the current and future challenges confronting our industry, whether they are legislative, regulatory, scientific or marketing related, it has always been clear that sharing a positive and compelling story about the benefits of our members’ products and economic impact of our industry will be instrumental to our continued success. HCPA has been pleased to support the strategic and effective work of our Air Care Division Reputation Task Force. The task force has brought together member company communications executives to plan go-forward action steps due to the very well-received inaugural HCPA Air Care Summit in May. The task force is now recruiting broader participation from other categories to execute a more comprehensive campaign. To be successful, this must be a collaborative effort, so please join us at the HCPA Annual Meeting for this critically-important discussion.
I am also pleased to share that the EPA Safer Choice Partner of the Year awards ceremony and associated programming will once again be held in conjunction with the HCPA Annual Meeting. Attendees will have the opportunity to recognize the leadership of chemical manufacturers working to improve the program and promote the Safer Choice label.
Below are a few other highlights from the HCPA Annual Meeting program, in addition to the regular schedule of Product Division and Committee meetings.
