Forget looking for your lip balm at the bottom of your bag or deep in your pockets. Introducing Qür (pronounced cure) Clip Balm, the new indie beauty lip balm for on-the-go, active lifestyles that attaches to your belt, bag or pants now available at www.qurlife.com. The brand debuted its products in a Zoom session with beauty editors on February 18 with a special guest formerly of hit television show “The Bachelor.”
Formulated with shea butter, almond oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil to nourish and smooth lips, these cruelty-free lip balms are formulated without parabens, PEGs, phthalates, silicones or sulfates. And they just might be the cure for the constant demand for lip balms, as reported in Happi.
Also new from the company is Qür 360 – a one-of-a-kind lip balm that is billed as the “Qür” to everyone’s chapped lip concerns. The patented 360 degree design has a gentle slide mechanism resulting in no cap removal and no twist-up needed. It has the same nourishing ingredients as the Clip Balm but with SPF 15, too.
According to Qür President and CEO Michael Kaplan, Clip Balm hits two marks with consumers – hygiene and mindful packaging.
“The patented self-closing feature on the clip balm is ideal for usage on the go, you can even clip it to yoga pants,” he said.
According to Kaplan, the company wants to bring its wares direct to consumer first with possible plans to expand to retail distribution in the future. It is priced at $15 per two-pack and launches in March 2021.
Lisa Hill, team captain at Qür, added, “The flavor profiles were developed to appeal to a wide audience. Overall, we want the brand to be a fresh take on lip balm, injecting newness and innovation was our primary goal.”
For the scent profiles, think lemon blended with coconut or sweet cherry layered with French vanilla for these tasty balms.
And, who better to know about the importance of soft lips than Benjamin Higgins formerly of “The Bachelor” (who is recently engaged and off the market). As a Denver resident, he is a fan of the unisex lip balm brand due to its moisturizing capabilities as well as its portability on the ski slope.
To cap off the collection, Qür is also offering an essential oil-based hand sanitizer in lavender, another favorite for Higgins, as shared in the Zoom event.
