About Sharie
Sharie is a healthy hair specialist and the co-founder of DreamGirls Hair, a results-producing beauty business that consists of two salon branches, and an all-inclusive hair transformative product line known as the DreamGirls Healthy Hair Care System for at-home hair care. DreamGirls has become a beacon of hope for all those who have suffered with damaged hair and lack of growth due to prior deprivation of proper hair care knowledge. With a strong desire to help women, especially Black women with their hair confidence, Sharie alongside her sister Tonya Thompson, worked from the bottom up and founded DreamGirls Hair salons in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA in 2006.

In 2001, Sharie moved to Northern California and worked in corporate. She found herself going to work from 9-5pm only to return home to go to her next job that she was passionate about, doing hair. She worked on clients from 6pm till 1am, and returned to her day job at 9am. She came to realize that not only did she love doing hair but found great success in her skill. Later, Sharie decided to walk away from her 9-5 and became an apprentice at a local salon, it was there that she worked and earned her cosmetology license. She worked there for 5 years, and then went into business with her sister Tonya, and opened up DreamGirls second salon location in 2008, that she currently runs located in Elk Grove, Sacramento. Soon after, she co-founded Mixed Institute of Cosmetology & Barber, a School dedicated to educating students to have the skills to work on and style all hair textures.

After helping thousands of clients reach their hair goals at DreamGirls salon through the use of the Healthy Hair Care System within the Healthy Hair Program, Sharie and her sister Tonya finally released their product line to the public at the start of the COVID-19 global pandemic to provide hair care solutions to everyone at home who could no longer visit a salon.

In addition to her great strides to revolutionize the industry for healthy hair growth, Sharie continues her entrepreneurial accomplishments as a motivational speaker that focuses on uplifting others to improve and ‘level up’ their own lives through speaking engagements, small business panels, and her YouTube channel “Level Up with Sharie Wilson.” Furthermore, Sharie is an inspirational community activist in the Sacramento (she lead the first MLK march in Elk Grove, Calif.) and helped coordinate a series of townhall meetings regarding racism in Elk Grove where she is raising her seven children with her husband Marcell.
