Cosmetic chemist and “certified nose” Vince Spinnato knows a thing or two about beauty. His industry experience spans over 25 years and includes his own brand. Now, Spinnato’s memoir, My Pursuit of Beauty, is out on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble. He is here today as a special guest on the Happi Podcast to talk about this new book, developments in the beauty industry, his luxury skin care line Caviar & Diamonds and what's next for his products.

As President & CEO of TurnKey Beauty, VS Vincenzo Ltd., and Vincenzo Skincare, Vince Spinnato has formulated and developed hundreds of products for skin and hair care, color cosmetics, bath & body and fine fragrances as well as baby products, pet products, and an energy drink! His newest luxury product, Caviar & Diamond debuted in late 2020 under the Vincenzo Skincare brand.
 
Considered an expert in his field, Spinnato has been a contributor to Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Esquire, GQ, Whole Foods Magazine, Health News Digest, Riviera and more. His memoir, My Pursuit of Beauty: A Cosmetic Chemist Reveals The Glitz, The Glam and The Batsh*t Crazy was released January 10, 2021 and a documentary about his life is in development, learn more at www.vincespinnato.com. Spinnato’s celebrity clients include Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Lorna Luft, Carrie Underwood, Victoria Beckham, Seth MacFarlane, Jessica Simpson, Michael Jordon, and Lindsay Lohan. 
 
He has also refined and developed cutting-edge technology, as well as FDA approved ingredients for over 300 brands for the private sector and retail companies Chanel, Estee Lauder, MAC, Victoria Secret, Bath & Body Works, Gap/Banana Republic, Lorac, Proctor & Gamble, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Aveda and others.
 
Growing up in a religious Italian family in Vineland, NJ, Spinnato chafed against the strict family rules but loved his family deeply. By the age of 10 he knew he wanted to create his own line of beauty products. And at the age of 20 he headed west to pursue his dreams. Over the next 25 years Spinnato experienced a number of adventures – many of which ended up in his tell-all memoir published by BookLogix.
 
To honor his late father and grandfather, both musicians, Spinnato established two annual college scholarships in 2015 for talented seniors at his former high school. He recently donated a well to “Wells of Life”, a provider of clean water wells in Uganda. A portion of the proceeds from Caviar & Diamonds will be earmarked for the organization.
