P&G showcases the company’s leadership position in laundry care at its second Future Fabrics event in New York City.
One of the new developments was Downy Fresh Protect In Wash Odor Shield, a bead technology similar to Downy Infusions that is added to laundry before the cycle. In addition to adding scent, these beads include odor-neutralizing technology that helps protect clothes from malodors, such as cigarette smoke.
P&G’s“3-Step FiberSCIENCE” approach was on full display as the company used enlarged microscope slides to highlight how its detergents and fabric softeners protect and care for fabric.
Those benefits were brought to life as fashion editors were able to touch and feel how P&G’s laundry care products fared against competitive brands in terms of softness, scent, color retention and more—all key elements in keeping favorite clothes as “go-to” garments.
P&G also showcased a new, easier to read liquid dosing cap, as issues surrounding how much detergent to use per load still remain.
GE’s Jennifer Schoenegge and Mary Johnson of P&G talked about how by pooling their expertise in high-efficiency washing machines and detergent formulation, they can offer consumers the best in garment care.
