Upcoming beauty trends for Spring 2018.
At NYFW, the athleisure trend was spotted in more than just the clothing that hit the runway. Designers pulled inspiration from their street style collections to incorporate the "track pant" look into the nail designs. Kith, Monse and Tibi all featured this trend in their nail looks by Essie.
Ecru New York’s creative teams took hair to new heights, while signature stamps of color adorned eyes at the Flying Solo independent designers show in Soho. According to creative director Lisa Lobosco, “Freedom of Expression was evident in each designer’s collection, so to pull together the look, we created an 80’s feel with a modern twist.”
Fresh Faces at Adeam: “This season’s makeup look is 70’s inspired. She’s a fresh and gorgeous girl with full bushy brows, tons of lashes, shimmery peachy pink eyes, flushed cheeks and a nude lip,” said Sada Ito, Nars global makeup artist at the Adeam show.
Redken brand ambassador Rodney Cutler capitalized on beachy waves at Torrid’s first-ever show. “The Torrid show is truly from sidewalk to catwalk – starting with a country-wide model search for 10 finalists, who were first made over by Redken, then participated in a photoshoot, and are now walking in brand’s first-ever NYFW show,” said Cutler.
Milk Makeup was proud to be the official makeup sponsor of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund show, an annual competition for up-and-coming designers, at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood. Award-winning color brand Cargo Cosmetics has tapped Rocsi Diaz to be the face of its Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Each season, Cargo journeys to a different destination in a nod to the free spirit of the independent traveler. With Diaz as ambassador of the campaign, the beauty brand will transport fans to Havana, Cuba. The range debuted in over 1,100 Kohl’s department stores.
