Also, Alan J. Meyers joined as chief science officer. He has more than 30 years as a beauty and personal care industry executive at top tier brands such as Avon, Elizabeth Arden and Revlon. He also helped to lead the development of L’Oréal in North America. Meyers has a proven track record of breakthrough global innovation in the industry including recognition with the HBA Lifetime Achievement Award as a recipient of 23 patents in the beauty industry.
Lela Russo also was hired as vice president of marketing bringing more than two decades of experience in the direct selling industry. She most recently served as a marketing executive for Young Living Essential Oils.
Monat offers limited-edition products, and the net proceeds are donated to various non-profit organizations. For instance, in December 2018, the company raised $173,000 (in net proceeds) for non-profit organizations in the US, Canada and UK through its limited-edition moisturizing hair and body spray, More Than a Mist. In the US, the funds are being donated to 13 chapters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Prior to this fund raiser, Monat raised more than $107,000 for veterans in the US, Canada and the UK.
