Comments: Dimitri Haloulos replaced Diane Dietz as president and chief executive officer. Haloulos joined R+F in January 2020 as chief growth officer. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of BevMo! for four years, and led the transformation of the West Coast specialty beverage retailer. He has also held leadership positions with Procter & Gamble, Albertsons and Safeway. Haloulos has an MBA from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point, and served as an officer in the US Army.
“Dimitri shares our vision of providing all people with a lifechanging opportunity and recognizes our Consultants’ success, is our success, and as we continue to grow we must provide them with a strong business opportunity,” said Dr. Kathy Fields, co-founder.
During her five years as CEO, Dietz helped Rodan + Fields claim the leading skin care position in North America and built a strong brand. Under her leadership, R+F has launched award-winning innovation, including Lash Boost and Active Hydration Serum, and began the company’s global expansion beyond North America.
“On behalf of our board of directors, Kathy and I want to thank Diane for her countless contributions,” said Dr. Katie Rodan, co-founder of Rodan + Fields. “We are excited to bring Dimitri on as our new leader. His track record of innovating companies and his passion for the direct selling channel made him the unanimous choice of the Board to be our next CEO.”
In May, during the Society for Investigative Dermatology’s virtual meeting, R+F presented research and technology for environmentally-induced skin damage and skin inflammation. One poster demonstrated that one particular permutation, a combination of three different molecules each targeting different biological mechanisms associated with mitigating the effects of reactive oxygen species, provided additional downstream benefits mitigating biomarkers associated with inflammaging, photoaging and hyperpigmentation caused by environmental oxidative stress. In another presentation, R+F evaluated a new botanical and vitamin E blend called RF Botanical Soothing Blend for its ability to mitigate intracellular reactive oxygen species in cultured human dermal fibroblasts generated by UV radiation and pollution, as well as downstream effects associated with propagation of the inflammatory cascade in skin cells generated by UVA.
Both technologies are leveraged in Rodan + Fields’ new Regimen.
