Lonza Consumer Care has authorized Koda Care (DeWolf, Glenn, GMZ Care and Tempo Canada) to serve as Lonza’s exclusive third-party distributor of hygiene and personal care products in designated regions of North America effective Dec. 1, 2014.
The accord includes all of Canada, as well as Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
Koda Care’s authorization to sell Lonza Personal Care products includes all of Canada and the states east of the Rocky Mountains in the US, though Lonza will maintain direct sales of active ingredients in the northeast US.
“Strategically engaging Koda Care will accelerate Lonza’s Consumer Care growth initiatives,” according to Michael DeGennaro, Lonza’s NAFTA VP-consumer care. “Koda Care offers our customer base deep technical expertise and a strong focus on service, which makes them an excellent partner. We expect the arrangement to yield strong growth in our base business, as well as an ever-richer developmental pipeline.”
