The TSCA Modernization Act of 2015 (H.R. 2576), which was passed by the US House of Representatives in June, is another key step ahead of the effort to reform the nation’s chemical control. The recent vote—which was 398-1—was the first ever by the entire House chamber on Toxic Substances Control Act reform. And according to groups like Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA), it was also “remarkable to see such broad support for a piece of environmental legislation.”
