Barnes & Noble College (BNC)—one of the largest contract operators of bookstores on college and university campuses across the country—is launching an on-campus beauty concept called The Glossary. Housed as a distinct store within select Barnes & Noble College bookstores, Glossary offers students the opportunity to explore, sample and purchase a wide variety of mass and prestige beauty products on a growing number of college campuses nationwide. Brands include Smashbox, Philosophy, Bliss, Lipstick Queen, Burt’s Bees, CoverGirl and Maybelline.
The program was piloted at the Barnes & Noble Emory University and Southern Methodist University bookstores. Barnes & Noble has since added Tulane University and the College of William & Mary, and plans to open a new location in August at the University of California at Riverside.
