Chemyunion’s US headquarters in Union, NJ is fully operational and the company is in the process of setting up warehousing to stock material in the US.
Cristiane Pacheco has been promoted to new business vice president and has responsibility for the three Chemyunion business units in the US: Cosmeceuticals (active ingredients to skin care), Life Science (pharma excipients and nutritional areas) and Hair and Excipients (hair care and excipients to personal care). She is also a member of the scientific committee.
Pacheco is a seasoned personal care professional with 23 years of global experience who joined Chemyunion in 1998. She has led research and development since 2012 with responsibility for a group of 20 researchers. Pacheco is a pharmacist with a post graduation in Cosmetology, an MBA in Business Management and courses in Hair Therapy and Dermo Cosmetic Sciences.
“Cristiane is a strong and experienced executive and the Board is confident that she can effectively lead the company to improved growth in the US,” said Marcelo Golino, CEO of Chemyunion. “We’ve made terrific progress against our priorities in the US and have delivered strong results. But to maintain our momentum, we must accelerate the technical support for our distribution partners in the US and deliver better and faster service to our customers.”
“I am excited to take up this new challenge in the US,” said Pacheco. “Over the past few years I have come to know our US customers and partners really well and I look forward to strengthening our relationships.”
