To support students interest in joining the cosmetic and personal care industry, university professors and officials can register students for free membership with the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC). The offer extends to fully matriculated undergraduate students in a scientific program at recognized colleges and universities, according to SCC, which is promoting the membership through its NextGen initiative.
To enroll, simply submit a list containing the students’ names and email addresses to scc@scconline.org. In the subject line detail “NextGen Student Membership Roster.” SCC’s membership team will then create memberships for each student and confirmations will be generated and sent to each applicant.
The students will automatically begin receiving SCC’s monthly eNews. In addition, the free year of membership provides critical benefits, such as discounts on continuing education courses, which further improve the qualifications of cosmetic scientists by setting high ethical, professional and educational standards; discounted registration to the SCC annual meeting; opportunities to participate in a range of professional and social events at 19 affiliated chapters; full online access to the searchable digital library of every issue of the Journal of Cosmetic Science; and member discounts to IFSCC Conferences and Congresses.
Following the first year of free membership, students will be sent membership renewal information advising them of how to continue their SCC membership benefits.
