If you’re reading this issue on April 4, chances are you’re in London for In-Cosmetics Global. Thousands of industry executives from around the world are in The Old Smoke for The Event. Happi will be at In-Cosmetics Global, too, and we’ll provide daily updates about all the things that we see and hear in London. To sign up for our free e-newsletter, visit Happi.com today.
In May, Happi will be front and center when the New York Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) moves its Suppliers’ Day exhibition to the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, May 2 & 3. Last year, Suppliers’ Day attracted nearly 8,000 industry executives from more than 30 countries. With those kinds of numbers, NYSCC leaders realized it was time to move to a bigger, and better, venue. The Javits Convention Center has more than enough room to handle NYSCC Suppliers’ Day and all the festivities that surround it. To get an idea of what’s happening in New York City next month, turn to p. 42 to get a preview of NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2017. Also next month, the American Oil Chemists Society’s Annual Meeting will be held in Orlando, the Sustainable Cosmetics and Sustainable Cleaning Product Summits will take place in New York City, and the Consumer Specialty Products Association will hold its mid-year meeting at National Harbor, MD. You can pick up a copy of Happi at all of these events.
Of course, not all the news happens on trade show floors. This month, Melissa Meisel reports on the dynamic multicultural beauty sector, where large and small marketers are rolling out an array of new products for a variety of skin tones and hair textures.
Also this month, we look at the issues shaping the fast-growing contract manufacturing sector. As multinationals reduce their manufacturing footprints, myriad third-party players are more than willing to pick up the slack.
This issue also includes an update on fine fragrance launches for Spring and a detailed look at the issues surrounding microbial control.
We hope you enjoy this edition of Happi and we look forward to seeing you in trade show aisles all around the world!
