US Patent No. 9,622,965 B2; Mary Kay Inc., Addison, TX, has patented a method of treating fine lines or wrinkles, the method comprising topically applying to skin a composition consisting essentially of Magnolia officinalis bark extract; Vitis vinifera seed extract; tocopherol or tocopherol acetate; lecithin; at least one gum; and water.
Mary Kay was also awarded US Patent No. 9,629,793 B2 for a method of treating skin by reducing elastin, reducing TNF-α, and/or inhibiting MMP-1 in skin by topically applying a composition comprising aqueous extracts of Nymphaea gigantea flower, Tristaniopsis laurina leaf; and Eucalyptus coolabah leaf in a dermatologically acceptable vehicle.
