US Patent No. 9,974,718 B2; Procter & Gamble has patented a method of making a hair care composition. The composition is comprised of a cationic surfactant system that includes a mono-long alkyl quaternized ammonium salt comprising one long alkyl chain which has from 12 to 30 carbon atoms and a di-long alkyl quaternized ammonium salt comprising two long alkyl chains of from 12 to 30 carbon atoms; a high melting point fatty compound; an aqueous carrier; an antidandruff agent selected from metal pyrithiones; and perfume, silicone, phenoxyethanol, benzyl alcohol, and/or parabens. The method entails the following steps: mixing the cationic surfactant system, high melting point fatty compound and aqueous carrier to form an emulsion; adding the component to the emulsion; and then, adding the antidandruff agent.
Procter & Gamble has been awarded a patent (US Patent No. 9,974,381 B2) for a cleaning device. It is made from a resiliently deformable sole plate that can have a pad attachable thereto, and a handle. There is a plurality of bristles cantilevered from the handle and extending toward a target surface to be cleaned. The tool also has a receptacle for a container of cleaning solution and a nozzle for forwardly spraying the cleaning solution in response to user actuation of a manual actuator.
