The Twin Cities Chapter’s ninth Biennial Holistic Cosmetic Symposium will be held March 12 & 13 at the Double Tree Hotel in Minneapolis, MN.
On March 12, Dr. Robert Lochhead will present a CEP course on polymers in cosmetics and personal care products. The course will be held from 9am to 5pm (with a lunch break). Polymers represent one of the major classes of materials used in cosmetic formulations. There are a wide variety of polymers used in a broad range of functions in this industry and a basic understanding of polymer structure–property relationships is an essential tool for the cosmetic formulator. This course addresses the need to introduce formulators and suppliers to cosmetic polymers. The course will be a pragmatic overview of polymer science woven into the needs, desires and aspirations of cosmetic products.
On March 13, symposium speaker will include Maryellen Mollyneaux of NMI, Jack Corley of Custom Essence, Mindy Green of Green Scentsations, Dr. Michael Wentzel of Augsburg University, Dr. Neelam Muizzuddin of SCR Consultants and David Steinberg of Steinberg & Associates.
The Supplier Expo will be held from 1:30-5:30pm, followed by the Chapter’s “Punch Bowl” social from 6-9pm.
