Topix Pharmaceuticals and its subsidiary Derma E: have made two executive-level appointments. Topix named Brenda Wu as its president and CEO, adding these responsibilities to her existing role as president and CEO of Topix-owned skin care brand Derma E.
Wu joins Topix after more than a decade of success at L’Oréal, where she worked on brands such as SkinCeuticals, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Lancôme and Kiehl’s. At L’Oréal, Wu served as US general manager of SkinCeuticals. Prior to L’Oréal, Wu led teams in retail merchandising at Banana Republic, digital marketing at AOL Time Warner and strategy consulting at Bain & Company. Wu will lead Topix.
The company also announced that Barbara Roll, former SVP-marketing, has been appointed chief marketing officer for Derma E, a new position created specifically for her. The move is effective immediately. Roll has spent the last three years at Derma E leading a complete rebrand and repackaging of the brand’s facial and skin care lines, as well as a relaunch of the brand’s digital capabilities while building a recognized leading influencer program. Prior to joining Derma E in 2016, Roll spent time at Jafra Cosmetics International as global VP-marketing.
